Srinagar, March 30 -- As part of its efforts to ensure the safe and quality food for the general public, the Food Safety Department, Anantnag, raided a godown and seized 2172 kilograms of deteriorated dates belonging to various brands. The estimated market value of the seized stock is Rs 1,300,000.
The seizure was made based on a complaint about the sale of deteriorated dates.
During the raid, enforcement samples were taken from the seized stock for further analysis. These samples will be sent to an NABL-accredited laboratory for detailed examination to determine the exact quality and safety of the dates.
