Srinagar, Jan. 31 -- Jammu and Kashmir is likely to remain largely dry till January 31, with weather conditions expected to turn cloudy towards the evening, officials from the Meteorological Department said on Friday.
According to the forecast, a fresh western disturbance is expected to affect the Union Territory on February 1 and 2, bringing light to moderate rain and snowfall at scattered to fairly widespread places. The impact is likely to be more pronounced in higher reaches, where fresh snow accumulation is expected.
Officials said that after the passage of the system, weather conditions are likely to improve, with partly cloudy skies expected from February 3 to February 6.
