Srinagar, Dec. 4 -- Police in Srinagar have arrested an alleged fraudster in the Bemina area and recovered multiple ATM cards from his possession, along with a mobile phone "used in the commission of crimes".

Police in a statement said that taking cognizance of a written complaint from one Nazir Ahmed War of Palpora Pattan, the in-charge of the Centralized ATM Department of J&K Bank, Police Station Bemina registered case under sections 303(2), 324(4), and 62 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

A special team was constituted in collaboration with the bank, which laid a trap at the JVC ATM, which had been repeatedly targeted and from where several complaints of ATM app/pad damage had been reported.
