SRINAGAR, Jan. 21 -- Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) Wednesday urged authorities to find a lasting solution to the issues confronting business fraternity due to the frequent 'closure' of Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.

Addressing a press conference at KCCI office here, the biz body President, Sheikh Ashiq said the business community cannot progress until and unless the issue of national highway which he said remain closed for weeks together is not resolved.

Sheikh Ashiq also assured that elections for KCCI would be held in March this in compliance with the directions passed by the Srinagar wing of Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
