Srinagar, Jan. 27 -- Police in Pulwama recovered a huge quantity of contraband substance by arresting an accused person, an official handout informed Sunday.
It said acting on specific information, police raided the residential house of one Mehraj Din Sheikh, son of Ali Mohammad Sheikh at Sheikh Mohalla, Newa, leading to the recovery of 9.75 kgs of cannabis powder-like substance.
Sheikh was arrested and a case under relevant sections of law registered at Police Station Pulwama for further investigation, police said.
