SRINAGAR, June 2 -- To assess the arrangements for livestock healthcare and welfare at one of the largest Sheep and Goat Mandis established in view of Eid-ul-Adha at Eidgah Srinagar, Dr. Rafiq Ahmad Shah, Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, Kashmir, today visited Eidgah, here.

During the visit, Dr. Shah reviewed the facilities put in place to ensure the health and hygiene of animals brought for sale. He interacted with officials, veterinarians, and livestock traders, and issued instructions for maintaining strict biosecurity measures, availability of medical aid, and ensuring the well-being of animals in the mandi.
