GANDERBAL, Nov. 18 -- Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, today administered the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) Pledge to participants in a ceremony held at the lawns of Mini Secretariat, Ganderbal.
The DC administered the oath to officers and officials from different departments housed in the Mini-Secretariat, who pledged to work against drug abuse.
Addressing the occasion, the DC said the problem of drug abuse has assumed a critical proportion which needs a holistic approach to combat its spread.
He said the district administration is committed to making Ganderbal a drug-free district through a multipronged approach involving awareness campaigns, strict enforcement of drug laws, and rehabilitation support.
