Srinagar, March 11 -- The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Kupwara has taken a stern stance on a petition titled Mohd Maqbool Bhat v/s Jal Shakti Department, regarding the provision of water supply connection in Kuligam Lolab.
In response to the petition, the court directed the Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti in Kupwara, along with two other officials, to ensure the provision of the water supply connection and submit a compliance report by a specified date.
Despite the court's directive, the non-applicants failed to submit the compliance report during the hearing on March 7th. Consequently, the court has issued a show-cause notice to the non-applicants, including the Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti in Kupwara, AEE Jal ...
