Srinagar, Jan. 17 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two public servants - Patwari, and Chowkidar, Halqa Soaf Shali, Kokernag - while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.

According to a PIB press release, the CBI registered the case yesterday against the accused Patwari. It was alleged that the accused public servant demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000 for the demarcation of the land of the complainant.

The CBI laid a trap and caught the accused Patwari, along with the middleman Chowkidar, another public servant, red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 15,000 from the complainant. The accused persons have been arrested.

Further investigation is underway.
