Srinagar, April 8 -- With J&K Legislative Assembly failing to transact any business on Monday due to protest from MLAs of the ruling alliance, the three resolutions seeking the restoration of statehood lapsed.
The three resolutions seeking statehood were listed in the business of the House for discussion and voting. However, the resolutions couldn't be discussed due to protests from the ruling alliance over the rejection of an adjournment motion for discussion over the Waqf Bill.
The resolution was submitted by NC legislators Hilal Akbar Lone, Qaiser Jamsheed Lone and independent MLA Shabir Kulley.
They were selected through a draw of lots on March 25.
