Jammu, Feb. 7 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jammu, on Thursday trapped and arrested an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police in a bribery case in Jammu district.

According to officials, FIR No. 02/2026 under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 has been registered against Mohinder Lal, Assistant Sub-Inspector, posted at Police Station Khour, for allegedly demanding and accepting illegal gratification from a complainant.

The accused public servant had allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs.5,000 from the complainant for taking action in a domestic violence complaint involving the husband of the complainant's cousin sister, who was reportedly being regularly harassed and assaulted.
