Srinagar, Jan. 16 -- Police in Awantipora have arrested a person for his alleged involvement in stealing copper wiring from the transformer of a rice mill.
Acting on a written complaint from one Umar Gani Wani of Beighpora about the theft of copper wiring at his rice mill, police during investigation zeroed in on and arrested one Showkat Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Ayoub Dar of Bonpora, Panzgam, a police spokesperson informed, adding that further investigation is going on and to ascertain involvement of the accused in other similar cases.
Police in Kupwara also cracked a burglary case reported at Police Post Bazaar, Kupwara and arrested three accused persons, spokesperson said.
