Srinagar, March 5 -- Police have booked two "notorious" drug smugglers under PIT NDPS Act in Kulgam, a police spokesperson informed Monday.
He said two "notorious" drug smugglers identified as Sabzar Ahmad Rather, son of Abdul Salam Rather of Malipora, and Sabzar Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Ahsan Bhat of Tarigam, have been booked under PIT NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. The booked drug peddlers have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Bhalwal Jammu, police spokesperson said.
He said that many cases are registered against these drug peddlers and that they were involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of District Kulgam.
