Srinagar, May 28 -- Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Pulwama and Kupwara, and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police spokesperson informed that naka checking near Argecheck (Pulwama), police arrested one Javaid Ahmad Mir, son of Mohammad Akbar Mir, resident of Pakherpora, after 60 grams of cannabis were recovered from his possession.
At Main Tikker Kupwara, one Danish Ahmad Shiekh, son of Mohammad Yousf Shiekh, resident of Tikker Kupwara was arrested after a heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession, police said. He has been arrested and shifted to a police station where he remains in custody.
