SRINAGAR, Dec. 10 -- The Department of Social Welfare, SANKALP- Hub for Empowerment of Women- Mission Shakti Srinagar, in collaboration with Amar Singh College Srinagar, organised Youth Parliament under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP).
The "Youth Parliament" aims to simulate legislative bodies, often in schools/colleges, where young people role-play as MPs to learn about democracy, debate issues, and propose policies, fostering leadership, civic sense, and public speaking.
The event was organised with an objective to develop leadership, civic awareness, democratic understanding, public speaking, and tolerance among the students to make them capable of understanding complex public issues and contributing positively to society.
