SRINAGAR, May 31 -- As part of a nationwide mass mobilisation campaign aimed at raising awareness about the urgent need to end plastic pollution, in the run-up to World Environment Day 2025, the 'End Plastic Pollution' campaign begins in Srinagar district to promote eco-friendly alternatives to Single-Use Plastic (SUP).
The Environment awareness programmes were held on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat in Harwan area of the district to highlight the severe consequences of plastic waste on the environment and human health, and to encourage sustainable practices among students and staff to combat this growing menace.
