TOKYO, April 1 -- Japan Patent Office issued the following news:
The JPO held a two-day virtual trademark experts meeting together with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) on March 12-13, 2025.
During the meeting, information was exchanged on the examination management systems in both offices, as well as initiatives for utilizing new technologies such as AI, and the handling of goods and services.
Also discussed were cooperative matters between the two offices, and collaborative projects within the framework of the Five Trademark Offices (TM5), which consists of the trademark offices in Japan, the United States, Europe, China and Korea.
