The Japan Patent Office (JPO), in collaboration with the ASEAN IP Academy*1, conducted an online trademark training program on February 13-14, 2025, on the theme of "trademark distinctiveness" for trademark examiners and other IP staff from ASEAN countries.
JPO trademark examiners who are highly experienced in trademark examination standards gave lectures on trademark distinctiveness, sharing their insights and experiences on examination standards and practices in Japan.
