JAPAN-U.S.-ROK "JOINT STATEMENT ON NORTH KOREAN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY WORKERS" AND "ALERT FOR COMPANIES ON NORTH KOREAN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY WORKERS"

TOKYO, Aug. 27 -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan issued the following news release:

On August 27, Japan issued the "Joint Statement on North Korean Information Technology Workers" with the United States of America and the Republic of Korea (ROK). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Police Agency, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan also updated and published the "Alert for Companies on North Korean Information Technology Workers," which had been issued last March.
