TOKYO, Oct. 29 -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan issued the following news release:
On October 29, Defense Minister Koizumi held a meeting with U.S. War Secretary Hegseth. The two leaders exchanged views and shared recognition of the increasingly severe security situation in the Indo-Pacific. Based on the shared understanding reached during the Japan-U.S. summit on October 28, they also reaffirmed their strong leadership and commitment to further strengthening the deterrence and response capabilities of the Japan-U.S. Alliance.
