TOKYO, April 14 -- Japan Patent Office issued the following news:
For two days, from February 10 to 11, 2025, a training program on PCT International Search and Preliminary Examination was held in person for the patent examiners of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP). The training featured two JPO instructors, Mr. KAWAHARA and Ms. SHIKAMA, as International Training Instructors of the JPO's Global Patent Academy (GPA) and possessing extensive practical experience in patent examination. Approximately 30 patent examiners from the SAIP participated in the program. This was the JPO's first face-to-face training program in Saudi Arabia.
