At around 6:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025, JMSDF spotted the following four PLAN vessels sailing in the waters approximately 300 km southwest of Minamitori-shima Island.
Kuznetsov-class CV "Liaoning" (hull number 16)
Luyang-III-class DDG 1 (hull number 122)
Renhai-class DDG 1 (hull number 104)
Fuyu-class AOE1 (hull number 901)
On June 8, JMSDF observed takeoffs and landings of carrier-based fighters and carrier-based helicopters from "Liaoning."
