TOKYO, June 20 -- Joint Staff issued the following press release:
At around 6:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2025, JMSDF spotted a RFN Vishnya-class AGI (hull number 208) sailing northeastward in the waters approximately 40 km northwest of the Oki Islands.
Subsequently, the RFN AGI sailed in the waters around Japan as follows:
Sailed eastward within the contiguous zone northeast of the Oki Islands on June 4,
Sailed northeastward within the contiguous zone north of Sado Island on June 6,
Sailed northward within the contiguous zone west of Rebun Island on June 8,
Sailed eastward through Soya Strait on the same day.
JMSDF assets monitored the activities of the vessel.
