Lesotho, April 30 -- To enhance financial inclusion and reward customer loyalty, Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL), through its financial wing Sasai Econet Financial Services (SEFS), has announced that interest payouts on EcoCash wallets will soon be made to eligible users.

This exciting, new feature is part of a broader upgrade designed to transform the mobile money experience for Basotho.

While making the announcement, Mr. Moeketsi Mafereka, General Manager of SEFS, acknowledged the difficulties encountered during the system migration in 2024.

According to Mafereka, the road EcoCash Spache-fono has travelled since they began transitioning to the new system in October 2024 was not an easy one.
