Lesotho, June 18 -- The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has taken a significant step towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting clean energy by officially launching its first electric vehicle (EV) in Lesotho, which is the country's second electric car to date. The launch reflects UNDP's ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and aligns with Lesotho's national development priorities as well as the global climate agenda outlined in the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals 7 (SDGs7) which is to provide clean and affordable energy.
