Maseru, Aug. 27 -- The United Nations (UN) together with the UN Technology Bank and the World Bank donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Coronavirus (COVID-19) diagnostics and patient management equipment worth M8.4 million to the Ministry of Health (MoH) on Tuesday to support the country in the fight against COVID-19.

According to the UN Resident Coordinator in Lesotho Salvator Niyonzima the increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases calls for more critical care equipment in hospitals. He stated that the COVID-19 pandemic represents the most formidable challenge to human life and livelihood, therefore urged people to work together to respond to the health crisis.
