MASERU, March 19 -- The National Assembly has earlier this week unanimously adopted a motion directing the reduction of certain allocations towards youth employment programmes, including job creation, internships, vocational training, mentorship schemes, and entrepreneurship support.

This resolution comes just before the Committee of Supply, where figures will be outlined for the 2025/2026 fiscal year to be directed towards youth projects.

Moved by Matala No. 41, MP, Dr Tseliso Moroke moved that: "The reduction be directed into youth employment programs, including but not limited to: job creation, internships, vocational training, mentorship programs and entrepreneurship support."
