So, what is it?

I t is an ACT that seeks to extend, promote, and protect the rights of children in Lesotho, aligning with international conventions such as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (1990).

The Act provides a legal framework that ensures children's rights to identity, education, health, protection from abuse, and a nurturing environment, while also outlining the duties of parents, guardians, the community, and the State in safeguarding the best interests of every child.
