MASERU, June 19 -- Former Lesotho Basketball Association (LBA) President Francis Koma says he will contest for elections following his recent ouster in office.

According Koma he decided to stand for elections following an approach by several stakeholders within the basketball community. These are those who still 'believe he is the right person to elevate the sport to a better level.' considering his stature as a former LBA president, the constitution does not allow him to contest for any position but that of president.

On June 9th at Setsoto Stadium, LBA held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) from which Koma's administration was toppled after one year of service. Koma's administration was scheduled to be in office until 2021.
