MASERU, March 26 -- The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is considering setting up a permanent office in Lesotho to enhance its support for the country's environmental initiatives, the Programme Communications and Advocacy Officer, Reitumetse Russell at the United Nations Lesotho has confirmed.
These developments transpired during the recent visit of the UNEP's Regional Director and Representative, Dr Rose Mwebaza to Lesotho.
Her mission to Lesotho focused on advocating for stronger environmental collaboration, creating sustainable investment opportunities, and exploring the establishment of a permanent UNEP country presence.
