Lesotho, May 21 -- The Government of Lesotho has embarked on an ambitious national programme for integrated watershed management, the purpose of which is to address the interlinked issues of land degradation, livelihoods, food and water security in critical catchments across the country. The objective of the project is to mainstream sustainable rangeland management and restoration of watersheds to combat land degradation, enhance the flow of agro-ecosystem goods and services and improve the livelihoods of agro-pastoral communities.
