BAM Group Foundation, through its Ambassador and deputy speaker of parliament, Hon Ts'epang Ts'ita Mosena, held the 12th Race for Parliament seminar, where the main focus was on educating women and youth on different ways they could join the parliament, and participate in politics.
"There is a global movement to have more women and youth in parliament, and Lesotho is no exception. Right now, as we speak we have some very interesting numbers because we only have thirty women members of parliament in the national assembly, and then we have three MPs in the national assembly. The world is advocating for 50% of women and youth in parliament. This means we are way below the expected numbers," explain...
