Maseru, Feb. 11 -- The 55 African Union (AU) Member States had on February 6th to 7th held an annual general meeting.

The meeting marked the outgoing of the 2020 AU Chairperson and South African (SA) President Cyril Ramaphosa wherein President Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) took over the position as the new Chairperson.

Before stepping down, Ramaphosa gave out the report on tackling Covid-19 in the Member States. According to the report given by the Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Moeketsi Majoro, who was part of the meeting, Ramaphosa said they created a platform for Covid-19 vaccine and AU will ensure that each African country provides vaccine to at least 60% of their population.
