MASERU, March 26 -- Without trust, tax obligations turn into a struggle rather than a civic duty. Trust serves as the foundation for compliance, encouraging taxpayers to fulfil their obligations willingly rather than out of resistance.
These were said during the Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) Taxpayer Appreciation Awards at the Maseru Digital Centre last week.
RSL Commissioner of Client Services, Rakokoana Makoa, presented awards to six taxpayers who were recognised for their compliance with tax obligations for the fourth quarter of the 2024/25 financial year.
He stated that there are approximately 150,000 taxpayers in the country, and being recognised is no small achievement.
