India, April 2 -- A 43-year-old woman was killed and her daughter critically injured after a man stabbed them in a suspected case of one-sided love in Visakhapatnam's Madhurawada area on Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, the incident took place around 12:30 pm in Swayamkruti Nagar under the limits of Madhurawada police station. The accused, identified as Naveen, allegedly entered the residence of a young woman named Deepika and attacked her and her mother, Lakshmi, with a knife.
Lakshmi died on the spot, while Deepika sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital. Her condition is stated to be critical. Deepika had recently completed her graduation and was staying at home.
