India, April 30 -- Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Wednesday appealed to Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees to reconsider their decision to go on strike from 7 May, urging them to prioritise the corporation's future and public interest.

Speaking to the media, the Minister said the government was seriously addressing employees' grievances and assured that concrete steps were being taken for their welfare, passenger convenience, and revival of the corporation. He noted that TSRTC employees had played a key role in the Telangana statehood movement, and any disruption now would harm both TSRTC and the state.
