India, June 17 -- In a major push towards advancing India's renewable energy goals, a high-level closed-door meeting titled "The Role of Policymakers in India's Solarization Journey" was held at Courtyard by Marriott, Hyderabad. The session, organised by Swaniti Initiative, saw participation from Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, and Members of the Legislative Council from across party lines.
The convening focused on the pivotal role that elected representatives can play in fast-tracking solar energy adoption, particularly at the state and local levels. Discussions revolved around maximising the impact of government schemes, ensuring grassroots empowerment, and removing bottlenecks in policy implementation.
