Hyderabad, March 4 -- The Telangana High Court on Tuesday heard a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed against Opposition Leader and BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) over his absence from Assembly sessions. The petition was filed by a person named Vijay Pal Reddy.



The petitioner's counsel argued that as the Leader of the Opposition, KCR has a duty to raise public issues in the Assembly but has been absent for several months. He contended that, as per the law, continued absence could lead to disqualification and urged the court to direct the Assembly secretary to take action against KCR.
