Hyderabad, Feb. 12 -- The Telangana government has announced plans to introduce a bill in the state assembly to provide 42% reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBCs). Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the bill would be passed in the first week of March and subsequently taken to Parliament for approval.



To push for nationwide OBC reservations, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will lead a delegation to Delhi, where he will meet the Prime Minister and leaders of various political parties. The government aims to build consensus and seek their support in getting the reservation bill passed at the national level.
