India, June 25 -- The State government has sanctioned 20 crore for the upcoming Bonalu processions and celebrations across Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Funds have been released in the form of cheques for programmes at 2,783 temples across the twin cities.
The Bonalu festivities will begin on 29 June with the Golkonda Bonalu. The main celebrations will be held on 1 and 2 July. The Balkampet Bonalu is scheduled for 13 and 14 July, followed by the Lal Darwaza Bonalu on 20 July. The Bonalu at the Bhagyalakshmi Temple near Charminar will be held on 23 July.
