India, March 28 -- The Telangana government has decided to provide midday meals to Class 10 students appearing for board examinations, following directions from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
The Education Department issued orders to this effect, considering the rising summer temperatures and the inconvenience faced by students travelling from remote areas to the mandal headquarters for the exams.
Officials stated that students would be served lunch at the exam centres itself after the exam concludes each day, before returning home. All District Education Officers (DEOs) have been instructed to ensure proper arrangements.
The SSC (Class 10) examinations began across the state on 21 March and will continue till 4 April.
