Hyderabad, April 3 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao stated on Thursday that the state government is committed to serving the needs of farmers and the public. He made the remarks while inaugurating a renovated Rythu Bazaar in Khammam.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the Rythu Bazaar located in the heart of Khammam was closed during the COVID-19 period by the previous government, but has now been reconstructed with modern facilities to provide a comfortable space for farmers.
He informed that the market was upgraded at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh. A total of 76 stalls have been built, and around 250 farmers have been given the facility to directly sell vegetables to consumers.
