India, March 28 -- The Telangana government released Rs 3.30 crore as financial aid to the families of 66 migrants from the state who died in Gulf countries due to various reasons.



Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation Chairman and former MLA Anil announced that the aid was sanctioned on the directions of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The Finance Department issued the amount on Friday, and the funds will be deposited directly into the beneficiaries' bank accounts.



The highest number of beneficiaries are from Nizamabad district, which reported 28 migrant deaths. Jagitial district accounted for 19 deaths, Kamareddy for 9, Nirmal for 7, and one each from Medak, Ranga Reddy, and Sangareddy districts.
