India, March 27 -- The Telangana government has announced a two-day holiday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. As per the official state calendar, a public holiday has been declared on 31 March for Eid celebrations. In addition, the government has decided to grant a holiday on 1 April as well.
The government has also announced an optional holiday on 28 March in view of Jummat-ul-Vida and Shab-e-Qadr. Minority educational institutions will remain closed on that day, while regular classes and work will continue in other educational institutions and government offices.
