Hyderabad, March 21 -- BJP Floor Leader Maheshwar Reddy on Friday alleged that the Congress government is pushing Telangana into deep financial crisis by borrowing heavily every day. Participating in the Budget debate in the State Assembly, he claimed that the state is incurring a debt of Rs 1 crore every minute and Rs 1,700 crore daily.
He stated that Telangana's total debt has now reached Rs 6.6 lakh crore, resulting in a debt burden of Rs 2.27 lakh per individual in the state. Reddy questioned how Telangana can achieve development with such an overwhelming debt load.
