Hyderabad, Feb. 10 -- The dedicated commission set up by the Telangana government to conduct a caste-based survey has submitted its report. On Monday, Commission Chairman and former IAS officer B. Venkateshwara Rao met Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and handed over the findings.



The commission was established in November last year following a directive from the High Court to collect data on the population of Backward Classes (BCs) to determine reservations in local body elections. The panel conducted extensive field visits across the state and gathered public feedback while survey teams compiled and uploaded the collected data online.
