New Delhi, March 4 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday heard separate petitions seeking the disqualification of MLAs who won on a BRS ticket but later joined the Congress. The petitions were filed by BRS working president K T Rama Rao and BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy against 10 legislators who switched parties.
During the hearing, some respondents informed the court that they had not yet received any official notice. Taking note of this, the apex court issued notices to all parties involved, including the Telangana government and the Assembly secretary.
The court has directed all concerned parties to submit their affidavits by March 25, the date set for the next hearing.
