Hyderabad, Feb. 10 -- The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing on the petition regarding the disqualification of rebel MLAs from Telangana's main opposition party, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court, alleging that Telangana Assembly Speaker Gadam Prasad Kumar was delaying a decision on the disqualification of seven MLAs.
In his petition, KTR named the Telangana Assembly Speaker and MLAs P. Srinivas Reddy, B. Krishna Mohan Reddy, K. Yadava, T. Prakash Goud, Arikepudi Gandhi, G. Mahipal Reddy, and M. Sanjay Kumar as respondents. The bench, led by Justice B.R. Gavai, heard the case today.
