Hyderabad, March 21 -- The Class 10 board examinations began across Telangana today, marked by an emotional incident in Mancherial district, where a student appeared for her exam while her father's body lay at home.
Srilatha, a student from Metapoor village in Kannepalli mandal, lost her father Mallaiah on Friday night after a prolonged illness. Despite the tragedy and preparations for his final rites at home, she left early Friday morning to write her first SSC paper.
Moved by her determination, staff at the examination centre and her relatives lauded her courage and commitment to education.
