Hyderabad, Jan. 30 -- The crescent marking the beginning of Sha'ban, the eighth month of the Islamic calendar, has been sighted. As a result, Shab-e-Baraat, one of the most sacred nights for Muslims, will be observed on February 13 (Thursday).



The Central Ruiyat-e-Hilal Committee, which convened in Hyderabad, officially confirmed the moon sighting on Thursday evening. With this, the holy month of Sha'ban has commenced, leading up to Shab-e-Baraat, a night of prayers and seeking forgiveness.
